Collectors World keeps a small stock of Gold Coins, mainly aimed at collectors, but also for investment purposes. For the collector this includes sovereigns, half sovereigns, guineas, and occasionally foreign gold coins. For the investor we can often obtain sovereigns and Krugerrands, however a quantity of these would not always be available from the shop without prior arrangement.

Investing in gold coins...

Gold has been an excellent and exciting investment in recent years, the price per ounce has never been higher (September 2020). In our opinion it is still a good time to buy, with the world economy and other factors influencing the price, along with Sterling instability. Those with exisiting gold coins should expect their investment to do well in the future, while new customers are looking for alternative investments opportunities.

Our standard price for bullion gold coin for investment is calculated from the day's gold fix, plus a small handling charge. This is normally in the region of 10%, though can vary up to 15% depending on supply and demand. Ring us on 0115 928 0347 for today's price and availability. We are keen buyers too, and again our offer is normally based on the day's gold fix, less a handling charge also in the region of 10% - 12%depending on supply and demand.

Coins supplied for bullion gold investment are normally sovereigns, half sovereigns, or Krugerrands. Guaranteed genuine, undamaged, dates or types of our choice. Payment on small quantities or by new customers is usually by cash, for larger quantities and regular customers we normally prefer a bank transfer. BULLION SILVER FOR INVESTMENT FROM COLLECTORS WORLD, NOTTINGHAM.

Silver seems like the new "hot property", and a "sure-fire" investment. The silver price can be a lot more volatile and unpredictable than the gold price. There are certainly opportunities for investment and profit for those who study the market. again there has been a huge rise in the bullion price recently from £12 to £21 per Ounce (March-Sept 2020).

Collectors World maintains a stock of bullion silver, usually in coin form as UK 1 ounce silver Britannias, and US 1 ounce Eagles. Occasionally we have Canadian Maple Leafs and Australian Kookaburra coins. For various reasons (including the fact that silver is VATable unlike bullion gold), there is normally a larger premium charged on silver coins, and our standard price for these coins is around £10 per ounce over the spot price, subject to availability and demand.

Another popular item for investment is the silver bar or ingot - .9999 fine and usually in 1 kilo bars. These are offered for sale as available, and our standard rate is spot price plus 20%+VAT.

Earlier Years: We have various types of sovereigns available, from the modern 'bullion' issues (from 2000 to date), through the earlier - George V, Edward VII, Victoria OH & JH, to the Young Head Victoria issues and the early Victorian Shieldback type. A selection is available for inspection at the shop.

The above Sovereign is dated 1887, Victoria's Jubilee year. This was the last year of the Young Head version. This nice example might cost around £495 from Collectors World.
